Meet Elissa: Pharmacist and Formula Creator
Elissa has been a pharmacist since 2017 and plays a crucial role in the research and development of the BioClinical Science supplements. She helps create the formula for each supplement based on this thorough research. Take a look at what she had to say about how the supplements are made.
What Kind of Research Goes Into Choosing the Active Ingredients in Supplements for BioClinical Science?
This step in the process is not something Elissa takes lightly. She starts with researching each proposed ingredient through scientific studies in peer-reviewed journals. Before deciding to use a certain ingredient in a supplement, she wants to be certain that studies have been done to show the ingredient can do what is claimed. Elissa also says “part of the research process is also ensuring that the amount of the ingredient we choose will be potent enough to have the desired effect.” This helps her when deciding how much of an ingredient needs to go into a supplement. Then she is the one to weigh out each ingredient and create the exact formula.
How Are Ingredients Sourced?
Once an ingredient is chosen based on validated information, Elissa seeks out a supplier for that ingredient. There are certain criteria she is looking for to know that a supplier is providing BioClinical Science with the highest quality ingredients. Every ingredient ordered to create the BCS formula comes with a COA (Certificate of Analysis). This is a document produced by an accredited laboratory after an ingredient is tested. Some of the results you can find on a COA are how pure it is and whether or not it contains any heavy metals or other unwanted contaminants.
Are There Other Ingredients in BioClinical Science Supplements?
Nope! The only ingredients that are in the supplements are the active ingredients. BCS supplements are created in capsule form rather than a pressed pill, so the only thing you are ingesting is the good stuff. The capsules are vegetable capsules and don’t contain any of the most common allergens.
